The Countdown
No matter what kind of quinceañera or boda you're planning, it generally takes one year of preparation. Staying organized is the key to success. We suggest you to buy a notebook to write down all your ideas, tips/suggestion, questions, and appointments. This will help you to stay organize and able to track of every detail. If you don't have any idea from where to start use this timeline to help you count down the big day and to keep you on top of everything.

9-12 months before the party
  1. hoose a date and a second option
  2. Reserve the church (Contact the priest/church to verify the date and requirements)
  3. Determine a budget (Along with your parents)
  4. Choose your possible padrinos
  5. It is recommended to meet with event planner/consultants for service and overview bids
  6. Work on guest list to get ahead count
  7. Select and reserve a reception (Make sure you reserve the church/chapel first)
  8. Start shopping for your gown
  9. Research vendors and set up interviews (photographers, music, banquet halls, food etc...)
  10. Choose your theme and colors

6-9 months before
  1. Meet with your potential padrinos to confirm their help
  2. Reserve reception location
  3. Select and book all suppliers (caterer, cake, entertainment, florist etc...)
  4. Shop for your dress, headpiece and accessories
  5. Shop for your damas dress
4-6 months before
  1. Think about the kind of you want and order your invitations
  2. Order the cake
  3. Chose your favors
  4. Select and order you're "Last Doll", bible, cojines, album etc…
4-2 months before
  1. Meet with caterer to discus and confirm menu
  2. Set dates for the vals and baile sorpresa rehearsals
  3. Choose your songs for your vals and baile sorpresa
6-8 weeks before
  1. Mail invitations 8 weeks before the date
  2. Have practice hair and make up
  3. Confirm details with photographers, florist, etc…
  4. Go over your notebook and verify last details
4-6 weeks before
  1. Final fitting for your gown
  2. Final fitting for your damas
  3. Fitting for tuxedos
3 weeks before
  1. Make sure all gowns and accessories are ready
2 weeks before
  1. Pick up your gown
  2. Make sure attendants pick their gown up a (Damas, Madrinas, Flower girls etc...)
1 week before
  1. Hair color touch up
  2. Make a list of payments required the day event/write checks
1 day before
  1. Get a manicure
  2. Final rehearsal and dinner
  3. Confirm tuxedos have been picked up
On the day
  1. Give payment envelopes to assigned person
  2. Eat breakfast
  3. Hair and make up appointment
  4. Feel like a Queen just Relax and enjoy your special day!
The day after
  1. Assist in the return tuxedos
  2. Clean up if needed
1 week after
  1. Follow with photographer/videographer for final delivery
